For breakfast, ask for fresh bananas, they were delightful and a nice touch amidst the typical offerings.

the decor here is an absolute throwback to the 80’s, it’s charming if you enjoy mismatched everything, and don’t even get me started on the ‘nonsmoking’ room with cigarette stains, so classy! i almost gave a good review but simply couldn’t since the pool was closed, no one seemed to care about my comfort at all!

Pet-friendly atmosphere made traveling with my dog enjoyable. The breakfast selection was limited. Check-in staff was friendly but the room needed updating.

Charming, Charming, Charming
I had such a lovely time during my stay! The southern breakfast buffet was a highlight—think warm biscuits, gravy, and eggs to start your day right! Plus, the outdoor pool area was fantastic for relaxing after a day of exploring.
totally recommend 🥰✨

staying at walking horse lodge was a pleasant surprise! the price was amazing, and everything felt clean and well-organized. i appreciated that the staff replaced our linens every morning without bothering us, allowing us to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. being pet-friendly also made it easy to travel with my dog!
my only mild critique would be that the breakfast options could use some improvement.

We had a wonderful time at this cozy spot with our grown kids! The breakfast was delicious with real Southern flair, especially the warm biscuits and gravy, and the location was super convenient for exploring nearby shops and restaurants.
My children wished for more activities for families.

I spent my nights here recently and appreciated the outdoor pool area. The set of picnic tables in the courtyard offered a nice spot to relax after a day of exploring. I noticed the horse memorabilia around the main area which added a bit of charm to the place. During my stay, I found the rooms adequately clean, though the amenities felt a bit dated, which I personally didn’t mind as I was more focused on enjoying the local scenery.
I encountered issues during my visit. Housekeeping left only a couple of towels even though I had more people with me. Communication was slightly awkward when requesting additional towels.

The stay featured comfortable beds that ensured restful nights, and the nearby dining options included locally caught fish, enhancing the food experience. However, the decor in the rooms felt outdated, and communication with staff regarding requests could improve. Additionally, the breakfast selection was somewhat limited, leaving room for menu variety.
